In the Philippines, faith and food are inseparable. We believe that the table is an extension of the altar—a place where we nourish our bodies and our spirits through the joy of community.
Every 3rd Sunday of the month, immediately following our 1:00 PM Mass, we gather in the hall for our Salu-Salo. This isn’t just a “potluck”; it is our time for Chikka (connection and conversation). It’s a space where stories are shared, new friendships are forged, and the aroma of home-cooked food fills the air.
What should you bring? While you will always find Filipino favorites like Pancit, Adobo, and Lumpia on the table, we encourage everyone to bring their own “home favorites.” Whether it’s a dish from your region in the Philippines or a family recipe from right here in Massachusetts, all are welcome. There is no charge to attend—our priority is simply having you there.
Open to Everyone You don’t have to be Filipino to enjoy a Salu-Salo. We invite our non-Filipino neighbors, friends, and visitors to join us. The hospitality of the Philippines is famous for its “Kain tayo!” (Let’s eat!) spirit, and we want everyone to feel that warmth.
Bring a dish or just bring yourself! Join us every 3rd Sunday at the hall after the 1:00 PM Mass. We can’t wait to share a meal and some chikka time with you.
