Newcomer’s Guide: Welcome to the Family

Walking into a new space for the first time can feel like a big step, but at Fatima Shrine, we want you to feel as though you are stepping into a family reunion. Whether you have lived in the area for years or are just passing through Holliston, our doors are open to everyone. We are a growing, volunteer-led ministry dedicated to creating a “home away from home” where faith is celebrated with joy, music, and the legendary hospitality of the Philippines.

From the quiet beauty of the Rosary Walk to the lively laughter shared over a meal in the hall, there is a place for you here. You don’t need to speak Tagalog or be familiar with every tradition to participate; our goal is simply to share the peace of the Shrine and the warmth of our culture with every neighbor. Below is a simple guide to help you plan your visit and make the most of your time with us.

WHEN TO VISIT

Sunday Mass

We gather every Sunday at 1:00 PM in the Shrine chapel.

Bilingual Worship

Our liturgy is a blend of English and Tagalog. Don’t worry if you don’t speak the language— on special occasions we provide printed missalettes (especially on special feast days and the 3rd Sunday) to help everyone follow along.

The Rosary

During the months of May and October, we pray the Rosary together starting 15 minutes before the 1:00 PM Mass.

Outdoor Mass

On beautiful, warm summer days, we often move our worship outside to the Shrine grounds to enjoy the peace of nature.

The 3rd Sunday Potluck

FELLOWSHIP & FOOD

Community is built at the table! Every 3rd Sunday of the month, join us in the hall immediately after Mass for our Salu-Salo. Bring a favorite dish to share, or just bring yourself—there is always enough for everyone.

EXPLORING THE SHINE GROUNDS

The Fatima Shrine is a place of beauty and peace, open daily from 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

The Rosary Walk

Take a stroll through the world’s largest Rosary bead sculpture. Be sure to look for the “Ave Maria” (Holy Mary) boulder inscribed in Tagalog.

Holiday Lights

If you visit during the Christmas season, stay after dark. The grounds are transformed by a famous holiday light display that provides a perfect backdrop for our Simbang Gabi celebrations.

The Gift Shop

Visit the local gift shop for unique religious items and mementos.

Parking

Fatima Shrine has Free On-Site Lot with plenty of space.

Accessibility

Accessible parking spaces are available close to the chapel and hall entrances.

Pets

While we love our furry friends, please note that dogs and pets are not allowed on the Shrine grounds or inside the buildings during regular visits and services.

Restrooms

Public restrooms are available on-site for all visitors and guests.

Volunteer-Led

Everything we do—from the music to the printing of our missalettes—is made possible by our dedicated volunteers and your generous donations. We rely on the spirit of Bayanihan to keep our events free for all.
